Instructions for use
Prior to all invasive sugery
• Use kodan® without dilution
• Spray on or rub the relevant skin area with a soaked swab
• Assure a thorough wetting of the skin
• Pay attention to the exposure time in correspondence to the application area
Prior to punctures of the joints and preoperative skin preparation
• Remove hair mechanically or chemically on the relevant skin area
• Preoperative antiseptic washing (e.g. with octenisan®) is recommended
For suture care
• Assure that any excess liquid can be removed
Special advice For external use only. Keep pharmaceuticals out of the reach of children. Do not use pharmaceuticals after the expiry date. Flammable. Do not expose to flames or electrical heat sources. Once the container has been opened the product should not be used for more than 12 months but not beyond the expiry date.
Prior to punctures, injections, excisions, etc. When used before glucose testing (e.g. Hämogluco-Sticks), let the product dry well to prevent adverse effects on measurement results.
Prior to punctures of the joint and preoperative skin preparation When thermocauters or other electrical devices are used, let the product dry well to prevent adverse effects. When used before incision foils are used, let the product dry well to prevent impairment of adhesion.
Prior to surgeries on skin, which is rich in sebaceous glands Apply the product several times, in order to keep the skin moist for 2 minutes.
For hygienic hand disinfection Pay attention to the exposure time of 30 seconds. Keep hands well moistened during the entire application time.
For suture care Surgical sutures are preferably dabbed with a soaked swab.
