Model/TV presenter/writer/DJ Alexa Chung can add another slash to her title – beauty mogul.
Alexa has created a range of products in collaboration with Brit beauty brand Eyeko, which will include a waterproof mascara and eyeliner.
The 29-year-old will also be the face of the brand, of which she has been a longtime devotee. "I first learned about Eyeko on a shoot. One of the makeup artists was using their eyeliner pen on me, and I just thought it was a great product," she explains.
She confesses she uses the brand’s Skinny Liquid Liner to achieve her trademark ’60s cat-eye flick. “Liquid liner is my saviour, other people like other things to feel like they look normal, but for me, I'm pretty much naked without my eyeliner on. It's my comfort blanket. I penned the book with the eyeliner!” she says of It, her much-anticipated forthcoming book.
Alexa was involved in the creative process with Eyeko from the beginning and even illustrated the packaging herself. “It’s a creative relationship. I send images and different inspirations to Max and Nina [Leykind, the brand’s founders] and we go from there. It’s quite free-form at the moment.”
The range will be available in Australia by the end of the year in Kit and Mecca Maxima stores.
