Claiming to provide a gel-like manicure at home, the 12ml Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polish dries like a regular polish and provides a high-shine finish without the need for a UV light. The range includes a Super Gel Top Coat which helps to activate a self-curing process to enhance the gel-like effect. The product is available in a wide range of 35 shades.
Scoring 4/5 in our lab assessment, the Rimmel polish seemed to last well on the nails for a few days after application. 93% of testers found it easy to apply and were happy with the consistency, which gave good coverage. 81% were happy with how quickly it dried, commenting that it gave a glossy shine which looked professional. Most testers found that two coats were ideal for giving a more gel-like finish. There were mixed responses on how well it lasted, with some testers saying it chipped after a few days and others stating that it looked good after a week of wear.
