Këshilla grimi për femrat në moshën 40

Mario Dedivanovic, celebrity MUA to stars like Kim Kardashian West and Ariana Grande, is possibly the most famous makeup artist in the industry right now. With over 5.7 million followers on Instagram, a TV career on Glam Masters, as well as a stellar client list stacked with superstars, we’d say Dedivanovic has certainly earned his success. So, we sat down with the expert to pick his brain on all his best makeup tips and tricks. Read on!

1. What’s your best skincare tip for ensuring makeup goes on smooth during the application processs?

Mario Dedivanovic: I love masks. The Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Face Mask ($18) really removes blackheads and keeps your pores clean—all exfoliation is good. And of course moisturizer is really great to ensure everything goes on evenly and smoothly. I love the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Moisturizer ($25) for that.

2.What are your best makeup tips for women in their 40s?

MD: Use lifting products like lifting concealers and things that won’t settle into lines. Cut back on the powder. When you’re super young, you can handle more powder where it doesn’t look like you’re wearing much, but the older you get the powder looks super heavy and dry because you lose the moisture in your skin as you age.

3.What tips do you have for women to fake bigger, more awake-looking eyes?

MD: The one thing that’s the most underrated step is curling your lashes. I can’t imagine doing makeup without curling the lashes because it makes the biggest difference and women always forget to do it. It really lifts the eyes.

4.What’s the biggest foundation mistake you see women make?

MD: It’s so common for women to wear the wrong shade of foundation and then to not blend it correctly. I always blend into the neck and into the ears a little bit because I want to make sure it always looks even across the whole face.

5.What’s the biggest trend you think will come around in 2021?

MD: Glitter. It’s been really picking up in the past few months and I’ve been using so much of it which I never thought would happen in my career. It’s funny because the more people see it used on social media, the more it becomes accepted unconsciously by clients so I’m starting to see all these celebrities pop up on the red carpet with glitter on their eyes or lips.

6.What’s the trend you hope we'll finally leave behind in 2020?

MD: I love all makeup trends because they’re very fun to me but I hope I start seeing the extreme cut crease a little less. I think it’s a little harsh on women.
