After nearly two years of vacancy, Chanel has finally filled their position of Global Creative Make-up and Colour Designer. Italian makeup artist Lucia Pica was selected by the brand and will begin the position in the new year. Besides collaborating on new products, Pica will work with Karl Lagerfeld to create the makeup look at each Chanel show.
The role previously belonged to Peter Philips, who, during his tenure, created some of the brand’s most beloved products such as countless cult nail shades (remember Jade?) and those temporary tattoos. Philips was appointed to a similar role at Dior earlier this year.
While we wait for Pica to make her mark, we’ll imagine what kinds of questions Lagerfeld asked during her interview.
